What is a mechanical check?

The mechanical inspection of a vehicle is the careful examination of its main components by an agent, that is to say a qualified mechanic mandated by the Société. This inspection is at the expense of the vehicle owner and is mandatory to register certain types of vehicle.

Before the mechanical check, make sure that the vehicle:

• is unloaded;
• is free of dirt or any other obstruction (ice, grease, rust, etc.) preventing a complete visual check of all its components.
